The YWCA of Spokane is inviting you to bring your friends for a delightful, delectable brunch at its 10th Annual Spring Fling Silent Auction and Champagne Brunch on April 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Anthony’s, located at 510 North Lincoln, Spokane.
Take in the expansive view of the gorgeous Spokane Falls while bidding on the silent auction’s myriad of high-end items, whose proceeds will go to the YWCA of Spokane and its critical programs.
“Attendees join us in a common goal: to support the programs of one of Spokane’s most established organizations serving women and children this year through YWCA of Spokane’s Alternatives to Domestic Violence Program, Children’s Services, and Women’s Opportunity Center,” says the YWCA of Spokane on the event’s website.
The Spring Fling will support the YWCA of Spokane as it helps combat the rampant problem of domestic violence. Victims of domestic violence — 95% of whom in the United States are women — spend about 100,000 days in the hospital each year. Yet, only about 25% of domestic violence incidents are ever reported to the police. Worse, it sadly takes about 35 incidents of domestic violence before a victim goes to the police.
“We ask you to join us in support of the mission of YWCA and help us raise funds in support of our programs for women and children,” says the YWCA of Spokane.
